The volume of consumer demand has reached incredible heights because of overall economic growth and petrochemical-based packaging has been essential in supporting this growth. Using this type of packaging is the most economical way to preserve, protect, and transport both perishable and nonperishable goods. Unfortunately its prevalence and persistence in the environment from all this use has made its remnants reach places in the world no human has touched. It has entered every possible environment including our own bodies. The bulk of this waste is single-use plastics that are used for consumer packaging.
Replacing the bulk of today's single-use plastic may be a huge challenge for corporations and consumers, but it is an obtainable goal. Consumers are becoming more aware of environmental issues, but are understandably more concerned with their day-to day life challenges than conservation issues. Your customer(s) depend on convenience and value. Implementing compostable product packaging that is made from natural ingredients will give these families the opportunity to transition more quickly into joining conservation efforts around the world. Unlike petrochemical-based plastic packaging that breaks down into microplastics that persist throughout our environment indefinitely, this packaging will break down into its natural nontoxic ingredients quickly.
In addition, recycling companies do not accept single-use plastic products because it is a low-grade polymer and there is no benefit to spend recources to recyle it. At the same time that we expedite the removal of single-use plastics from our consumer economy, we must develop the composting infrastructure needed to quickly breakdown this packaging much like our organic vegetable and fruit scraps. We strive to innovate new partnerships and innovation to expedite this circular plan that will remove single-use plastics from the global economy now.
The goal is to replace low-grade polymer packaging used for everyday goods and provide consumers with products packaged or packed in the same way they have always been, but in a bag that is plant-based. These plant-based bags break down quickly, leaving no trace in our environment. We can provide a product that will do all of these things, including conserving our environment and health. Our plant-based packaging product is durable enough to perform for consumer needs, yet is completely organic and contains no preservatives that cause persistence in the environment.
